Rebecca Beres was born and raised in Ephrata and is now a community activist within the of Ephrata Borough. While balancing her roles as mom and wife, she also is a business woman, philanthropist, and very involved in multiple business and community organizations.
Rebecca feels it is not only possible but very important for the borough council to balance being fiscally responsible while being decent human beings - treating our community like the friends and neighbors who they are.
If there’s something I’ve always recognized in Rebecca, it’s her passion and resilience. She has this constant thirst for more, for better - for her family, her community, herself. More than that, she does whatever it takes to make things happen! She is resilient when faced with barriers, always adapting and overcoming in order to deal with what comes next. She pursues things fiercely, passionately, and with her whole heart - her whole self. It’s something I’ve always admired about (Rebecca), the woman.

"Rebecca is always friendly, outgoing and warm. She was the only mom who spoke to me and made friends with me when we were new at pre school . Very huge caring heart. She helps everyone and anyone who needs it, even if she doesn't know them."

"Before I ever met Rebecca - as a fellow Highland parent - everyone had always spoken so highly of her. And it was clear, she was an amazing PTO president. Our school was blessed to have her. Then I witnessed her drive and dedication for this community. She poured her heart into making sure our neighbors had what they needed after a tragedy. She embodies everything that we all want, and hope to see, out of our elected officials. Strength, compassion, empathy, and grace. I'm so grateful that we met and I feel proud to call her a friend. "
